Hands on History at the National Museum of the Royal Navy, Portsmouth

NMRN has teamed up with The National Archives for a special event to accompany the latest exhibition ‘Pioneers to Professionals: Women and the Royal Navy’. Visitors will get exclusive access to documents and photographs not on show. Items from both collections will be on display showing women’s involvement with the Navy from the Age of Sail to modern day.

You are invited to explore these and members of the NMRN and The National Archives teams will be on hand to discuss and answer questions.

You can also ask all the usual questions on naval ancestors that you would at a regular ‘Ask the Archives’ event.
