Joe says, “Hello all. Today has been one of those days we all remember. I have been arguing with the VA for over two years about whether or not there was Agent Orange on Guam during the 70’s. The little reference book they have shows no record of Agent Orange on Guam and I know for a fact it was. I had a foliage problem in Navy housing and one of the chiefs I worked with told me how to get rid of it and gave me a paper bag of Agent Orange. I used it with complete abandon and breathed a little in the process. When my lung tissue was evaluated by Salem Hospital they confirmed it was non-small cell cancer, most likely caused by Agent Orange. Well it was. My request to you and anyone you may know who could confirm the presence of Agent Orange on Guam as the war was drawing to an end, please let me know. Second, if you or any friend could have been exposed to Agent Orange any time, have a doctor look at your lungs. It happens quickly when it happens. Take care my friends, Joe”
