The RMA has recently been introduced to Veterans’ Funerals UK, a not-for-profit organisation based near Southampton but working across the UK providing advice and guidance about affordable funeral care at the time of need for those who have served in the United Kingdom’s Armed Forces. Their aim is to ensure that those who serve and those who have served receive the best possible funeral care and support at the best possible prices.
Veterans’ Funeral Services will provide the following services to RMA members:
· Will work direct with local funeral directors across the UK, in Eire and overseas to ensure that members can have funerals at special rates.
· Ceremonial funerals can be arranged.
· Free advice and advance planning for funerals.
· RMA members will have access to the Veterans’ Funeral Plan at agreed special rates to pay for funerals in advance
· In real terms, wherever possible, the cremation funeral services of former serving personnel will cost less that £2500 (in 2016). This represents a significant discount on the fees charged by many other funeral directors.
