I’m sad to report that Philip (Felix) Simpson was called to eternal patrol July 22, 2015. Felix was an EM1(SS) on the Gold Crew from 1964 and took the boat to the yard overhaul in 1970. He switched to the Gold crew and left the boat about 1974. He also served on Alexander Hamilton (SSBN 617), USS Sam Rayburn (SSBN 635), and Rasher (SS/SSSR/AGSS 269) and retired as an EMCS(SS). I understand that he made 24 deterrent patrols. Thanks to Shipmate Ron Willems EM2(SS) who served with PO1 Simpson, and sent the attached obituary.
