On 14th August 2015 the National Museum of the Royal Navy will be holding a charity abseil at the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, to help raise funds for Sea More. Our main appeal in 2015 will be the SEA MORE campaign, which is concentrated within Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. Bringing accessibility to all, it will set a new and innovative benchmark in collating the vast and diverse range of collections to anybody wishing to research the Royal Navy. It will incorporate the development of a Centre for Discovery, opening access to a myriad of items not usually on Museum display. Also included in the SEA MORE project is the relocation of the Royal Marines Museum, placing it at the heart of our Naval heritage. We hope to raise £5,000 from this adrenaline fueled challenge. It promises to be a spectacular event, so if you can, come down and watch the event take place! There will be plenty of NMRN staff on hand to chat and answer any questions you may have about the Museum and our upcoming projects.
