If you served at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune or Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River in North Carolina, you may have had contact with contaminants in the drinking water there. Scientific and medical evidence has shown an association between exposure to these contaminants during military service and development of certain diseases later on

Foxnwolf comments;
In the early 70s the following units were deployed at Camp Lejeune for a period of time, HMS Bulwark I think, (as I was on 2S Mess-deck along with others) was used to ferry us all across the pond and berthed up at Charleston, Carolina. My memory vaguely reminds me that the following units were on board and resided there to take part in various NATO exercises…
40 Commando Unit, 59 Commando Unit, Royal Engineers, 858 helicopter squadron and a mix and match of other ships personnel…
We drank, washed, cooked food, (and had our food cooked on camp) filled up our jerry cans and water bowsers / tankers etc
I am surprised that the MOD / Foreign Office has not picked up on this and investigated further and/or recalled us all for medical tests or even requested our medical records
Myself, suffer from Bladder Cancer, always turning up benign at the moment over past 10 years. Annual Endoscopy checks including Liver, Kidneys etc
I am sure we were all there for quite a few weeks if not more including our RNR period
Am quietly investigating further and will advise who to contact at this moment in time concerning this matter. Hold Off until I can find out, officially who can take this onboard. Its either someone in the US State department or the UK MOD who will be responsible
WATCH THIS SPACE over next few weeks…DO NOT REPLY OR ANSWER TO ANYONE ELSE UNTIL I HAVE UPDATED HERE, DON’T GET CAUGHT OUT BY SCAMMERS IN THIS MATTER…
