If the first 3 digits of the bar-code are 690, 691 or 692 the product is made in China. 471 is made in Taiwan.<\/p>\n

We have a right to know where the items we buy are made but the government and related departments never educate the public, therefore we have to educate ourselves.<\/p>\n

Nowadays, Chinese business men know that consumers do not always prefer products “Made in China”… So, they dont always show from which country an item is made.<\/p>\n

However, you may now refer to the bar-code – remember the first few digits…<\/p>\n

  3. 30 to 37… Made in France<\/li>\n
  4. 40 to 44… Made in Germany<\/li>\n
  5. 471… Made in Taiwan<\/li>\n
  6. 49… Made in Japan<\/li>\n
  7. 50… Made in United Kingdom<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Buy British if you can by checking for the number 50 at the beginning of the bar-code number<\/p>\n
