For those who are travelling from outside the local area and do not know the location of Poole Crematorium, particularly those not using SatNavs here is the link to the Crematorium –\u00a0http:\/\/www.bing.com\/maps\/default.aspx?rtp=adr.~pos.50.766483_-1.976667_Gravel+Hill%2c+Poole+BH17+9BQ_Poole%20Crematorium_%2b44+12026+02582&where1=Gravel+Hill%2c+Poole+BH17+9BQ&FORM=LARE<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 which is shown as Point \u2018B\u2019 and using the facility on the left hand side of the screen it will allow you to see, and print out, your route to the venue.<\/p>\n After the Service and Committal the Wake will be held in the hall at St. Nicholas C of E Church, 30 Wareham Road, Corfe Mullen, Wimborne, Dorset BH21 3LE –\u00a0https:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/maps\/dir\/\/St+Nicholas+C+of+E+Church,+30+Wareham+Rd,+Corfe+Mullen,+Wimborne,+Dorset+BH21+3LE\/@50.775587,-2.0161092,17z\/data=!4m12!1m3!3m2!1s0x0:0x6a32ed3835dacc3!2sSt+Nicholas+C+of+E+Church!4m7!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x4873a5b03deb28f1:0x6a32ed3835dacc3!2m2!1d-2.01696!2d50.775341<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0\u2013<\/p>\n Suggested Route from the Crematorium to St. Nicholas C of E Church<\/strong><\/p>\n When driving out of the Crematorium you enter a roundabout, you need to take the 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0Exit (12 o\u2019clock position) and enter\u00a0Dunyeats Road\u00a0and continue in a westerly direction 0.6 miles to the next roundabout.\u00a0 Take the 4th<\/sup>\u00a0exit (2 o\u2019clock position) \u00a0B3074<\/strong>\u00a0and drive in a north-westerly direction for 1.25 miles at the roundabout take the 1st<\/sup>\u00a0exit into the\u00a0Wareham Road.<\/p>\n As you turn left at this junction there is a petrol station on your right hand side.\u00a0 Drive a short distance down\u00a0Wareham Road\u00a0and on your right you will pass a Sports Hall (was once called \u2018Virgin Active\u2019).\u00a0 Followed shortly by St Nicholas C of E Church, if you pass the Co-op Store you have gone too far.\u00a0 Both the church and the Co-op are situated on the right hand side of the road. \u00a0\u00a0The church has a large car park.<\/p>\n Donations<\/strong><\/p>\n In accordance with Jim\u2019s wishes, rather on his instructions, he requested that instead of flowers, donations be made to two Charities of his choice and the monies divided equally between the Forest Holme Hospice (Poole) and Heroes Haven (Swanage).<\/p>\n In order that this can be done efficiency, it is recommended that all donations be made through the Funeral Directors website –\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0http:\/\/www.funeraldirector.co.uk\/about-fc-douch\/branches\/lesley-shand-corfe-mullen<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0– where \u2018Gift Aid\u2019 can be added, if applicable by ticking the appropriate box.<\/p>\n To make a donation by the website, open the website above and on the left hand side click on\u00a0Diary of Funerals<\/strong>\u00a0and then scroll down the page and you will see asearch box asking for a surname. \u00a0Type in Hawkins and a few lines further down his highlighted name will appear, click on that and you will find the \u2018Donate to Charity\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n Should people prefer to leave cheques at the church, or send them to the Funeral Directors would they please make them out to \u2018Lesley Shand Funeral Directors\u2019<\/strong>, and send to\u00a0184 Wareham Road, Corfe Mullen,\u00a0Dorset.
