{"id":176914,"date":"2020-08-19T17:06:47","date_gmt":"2020-08-19T16:06:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.foxnwolf.com\/locknload\/?p=176914"},"modified":"2020-08-20T12:02:24","modified_gmt":"2020-08-20T11:02:24","slug":"windows-explorer-bye-bye","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/foxnwolf.com\/locknload\/?p=176914","title":{"rendered":"Microsoft to Kill off Internet Explorer after 25 Years"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 class=\"sdc-site-component-header--h1\" style=\"text-align: center;\"><span data-role=\"short-text-target\">Microsoft to kill off Internet Explorer after 25 years<\/span><\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"sdc-site-component-header--h2\">The browser, which once had a usage share of 95%, declined in popularity after Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome were launched<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Microsoft has confirmed that it will be ending support for Internet Explorer on 17 August 2021.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The tech firm added that the Microsoft Teams web app will no longer be supported on the browser from the end of November 2020.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All remaining Microsoft 365 apps and services will end their support on the browser by summer next year.<\/p>\n<p>Following these dates, users will either have a degraded experience when using apps and services on the browser or will be unable to connect entirely.<\/p>\n<p>After being released in 1995, Internet Explorer quickly became the most used browser, with a usage share of 95% by 2003.<\/p>\n<p>However, the end of Internet Explorer has been on the cards for several years after its popularity declined following the release of Mozilla Firefox in 2004, and Google Chrome in 2008.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015, the company announced Microsoft Edge would be replacing the browser.
